A BIT ABOUT ME
Mindy Rhoades, LPC
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and enjoy using it to help clients process trauma. I also use other research-based interventions to meet the needs of my clients. I am passionate about helping those who have had adverse church experiences or religious trauma. I also work with adult clients who have experienced various types of trauma, including difficult childhoods, sexual abuse, and complex grief.
I received my Master's degree from Oral Roberts University and my Bachelor's degree from the University of Tulsa. I am a member of the American Counseling Association.
I am a wife, cat mom, avid football fan, geek (Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and various series of Star Trek), and life-long Oklahoman.

EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) was developed by Francine Shapiro to help individuals with traumatic memories or PTSD. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends EMDR for the treatment of PTSD in adults.

IFS
Internal Family Systems Model (IFS) therapy is an integrative approach that recognizes the mind is made of many individual parts. IFS seeks to help individuals access their core Self and integrate their internal subpersonalities.
